‘American Pickers’ Danielle Colby Asks Fans for Prayers After Mike Wolfe’s Serious Car Accident

American Pickers star Danielle Colby asked her fans for prayers after co-star Mike Wolfe was involved in a serious car accident with his girlfriend, Leticia Cline.

On Wednesday, Sept. 17, Colby—who prefers they/them pronouns—took to Instagram with a video and direct message for fans of the History Channel show.

“Please send love and prayers to @mikewolfeamericanpicker and Tish❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹,” she captioned the update.

In the video, Colby shared, “I’ve been trying to avoid this conversation because I haven’t had a chance to really talk with [Wolfe] yet, and I wanted to make sure that if I’m, like, talking about him or Tish that I understand what’s going on.”

Colby noted, as Cline previously shared in her Instagram Stories, that Cline’s jaw is broken in several places and requires “extensive” surgery. “It is no longer attached to either side and it’s broken down the center,” Colby explained. (Cline also shared photos of her swollen jaw in the hospital.)

“They’re lucky to be alive,” Colby declared before delving into how the crash happened.

“Mike was driving his classic Porsche, and somebody pulled out in front of him [while] driving on the highway,” they shared. “And, thank God, Mike had put seat belts in the car, otherwise we don’t know how things could have ended up.”

Colby added, “Once they struck the other car, both lost consciousness. I know that there was a good samaritan who pulled over and helped Mike out of the car. I know that Mike is an EMT, so immediately in his mind, he sees what’s happening and goes into EMT firefighter mode and he could smell the gas. In those early Porches, the gas tank is in the front; it’s not in the back. So him smelling that gas and realizing that Tish was in a very bad state, him and the good samaritan pulled Tish out of the car and got her way from the car in case it were to catch fire. It did not catch fire, thank God.”

After the Crash, Wolfe was “able to walk away with a broken nose, and his leg is pretty messed up,” Colby shared.

“I know that they’re both going to require a lot of healing and I know that both of them believe in the power or prayer,” they shared. “They both are Christian, they both have loving church communities and they have very, very strong social groups that will help them through this, including myself.’

To conclude the video, Colby reiterated, “Just please send all your thoughts and prayers their way. They love thoughts and prayers. They want you to do that.”

On Saturday, Sept. 13, Wolfe revealed on his Instagram Stories that he and Cline were involved in a crash.

“Leticia and I were involved in a car accident last evening in Columbia, TN,” he said of the Sept. 12 event. “By the grace of God, we’re both safe and okay.”

Both he and Cline have posted updates on their Instagram Stories since. Most recently, Wolfe shared a photo from his front porch on Wednesday, Sept. 17, writing, “Feels so good for @leticiacline and I to be home for a bit. Her surgery will be Monday. Please keep that good energy and prayers coming.”

Previously, the American Pickers star, 61, was married to Jodi Faeth for nearly nine years. They welcomed a daughter, Charlie, now 13, before divorcing in 2021.

Wolfe, 61, has been dating Cline, 46, a model and journalist, since 2021. He was previously married to Jodi Faeth, with whom he shares a daughter, Charlie, 13.
