Oak Island’s Darkest Secret REVEALED — A Terrifying Discovery!

Oak Island’s Darkest Secret REVEALED — A Terrifying Discovery!

From the discovery of a relic buried 80 ft underground to the unearthing of intriguing artifacts on Lot 8, the Oak Island research team [music] continues to make discoveries that could finally lead them to the legendary treasure.
Here are the top 10 discoveries made on Oak Island in 2023.

The D2 bore hole.
The team uncovered a massive boulder at a depth of 80 ft in the Money Pit area in a section believed to have been disturbed by an earlier bore hole known as D2.
Drilling came to a halt due to an unknown obstruction.

Along with the boulder, the hammer grab tool retrieved softwood and a piece of ancient-looking metal believed to be a relic left behind by an earlier treasure hunter or someone who visited Oak Island long ago.

The rubber boot.
Another surprising find was a rubber boot pinned beneath a wooden structure.
The boot had the name Kaufman written on it, suggesting it dates back to the early 1900s when the American rubber boot company Kaufman was producing footwear.

The team believes this discovery may be connected to Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who was involved in a failed excavation on Oak Island in 1909 while working with the Gold Salvage and Wrecking Company.
This finding could point to physical evidence of Roosevelt’s involvement in the original Money Pit excavations.

A piece of FDR’s boot.
[music] The treasure hunters were thrilled after discovering an old structure in the Money Pit area that appears to be linked to Franklin Roosevelt’s earlier work.
According to Dr. Kroll’s latest theory, the team may have even uncovered a fragment of FDR’s boot.

This piece could connect the Money Pit to a newly identified tunnel that might lead to an offset treasure chamber.
Although some challenges remain, such as limited daylight, the team remains optimistic, they believe these discoveries may help pinpoint the original Money Pit or uncover a tunnel leading directly to hidden treasure.
Despite this being the final major drilling effort of the season, the Oak Island team is determined to continue their search and remains [music] hopeful about what lies ahead.

Bedrock discovery.
At a depth [music] of approximately 130 ft, the team finally reached bedrock, suggesting the treasure may be close.
However, all five massive steel shafts sunk [music] during previous excavations indicate that valuable materials may still lie beneath the surface.
While time has run out for further digging in the Money Pit this year, experts believe significant quantities of gold and silver could still be buried below.

The rock drill.
Blacksmithing expert Carmen Legge examined a rock drill discovered more than 100 ft underground in the B4C [music] shaft.
The tool is believed to date back to the mid 15th century.
This remarkable find could be crucial evidence that the team is nearing the legendary treasure.
The drill may have been used to carve caverns [music] or expand tunnels, possibly explaining why certain underground passageways were widened.
After discussing the significance of the drill, the team debated whether to pause the excavation, but ultimately decided to continue investigating the mystery further.

Additional discoveries.
The team also reviewed notable finds from Lots 4, 8, and 15, which may be pointing them in the right direction [music] and bringing them closer to the treasure.
Among the most intriguing discoveries is a massive metallic object found near Frog Island, which could potentially be part of a shipwreck.
Throughout their search, the Oak Island team has made multiple [music] significant discoveries, each adding another piece to the puzzle and bringing them one step closer [music] to uncovering the island’s long hidden secrets.

Rick, Marty, and Craig brought in CSR Geo Surveys Limited to conduct a magnetometer survey of the northern waters surrounding Oak Island.
The study revealed several intriguing magnetic anomalies beneath the seabed.
One notable anomaly was found near Lot 5, while another, much larger, was detected close to Frog Island.
According to Dr. Spence, the Frog Island anomaly could be the remains of a shipwreck, a discovery that might help solve part of the Oak Island mystery.

To investigate further, the team plans to use handheld magnetic anomaly detectors and underwater cameras to explore the waters between Oak Island and Frog [music] Island, a possible shipwreck.
During a later search, the crew expanded their survey area to look for visible debris that might confirm the nature of the anomaly.
Dr. Spence examined a location where signs of past human activity were detected along with what could be the remains of a shipwreck.
However, nothing was visible from the surface as the area was heavily covered with seaweed and silt.
After reviewing the data, Dr. [music] Spence and Tony Samson, the team’s metal detection expert, became convinced that a shipwreck lies beneath the surface.

Treasure hunters Gary Drayton and Michael John later joined the investigation on Lot 8 to examine the suspected wreck site.
Encouraged by strong evidence found in Lot 8, including a large metallic anomaly detected by ground penetrating radar, the team decided to continue their diving program through late winter and early spring.
They also announced plans to excavate the main entry area at the start of the next season.

Bones and burial artifacts.
In another discovery, researchers uncovered a large chest of bones inside an underground burial cave on Oak Island.
Along with the remains were ancient artifacts, including ceramics, ceremonial swords, and intricately designed jewelry.
The bones were believed to belong to a high-ranking individual, possibly associated with the Knights Templar, and showed signs of a significant chest wound.
The team interpreted these findings as evidence of a large medieval burial site, likely connected to allies of the Knights Templar.

Further investigation revealed another major clue.
Fragments of parchment were recovered from the spoils of the TF1 shaft.
This discovery suggested that the treasure may include not only gold, silver, and jewelry, but also valuable manuscripts.
Initial analysis of the parchment revealed distinct striations indicating directionality.
A detailed cross-section showed that these markings were caused by iron-based materials reacting under X-ray examination.
Experts noted that early inks were commonly made using iron gall, a mixture of iron salts and tannic acids derived from plants developed in Europe as early as the fifth century.

Gold fragments.
The Oak Island team also discussed results from their core drilling program which revealed small fragments of gold along with significant amounts of silver.
To the treasure hunters, these findings reinforce their belief that they are closing in on the legendary riches that have been sought for more than 200 years.
To support their conclusions, the team combined scientific evidence with historical records.
They pointed out that dynamite was used during drainage efforts in 1909, which may explain how small pieces of precious metal were scattered throughout the Money Pit.

Portuguese stone shot.
The team also explored a possible explanation for a Portuguese stone shot discovered deep within the Money Pit area.
This artifact could point to early European activity on the island and adds yet another layer to the complex history surrounding Oak Island.
The iron shot is a 4 cm iron ball believed to match a known ammunition caliber used during the 1400s.
The team suggests that if someone wanted to protect their activities on Oak Island and remove a cannon from a ship, they may have transported it inland and mounted it atop a defensive barrier to deter potential intruders.

The researchers also explored the connection between the Portuguese Knights of Christ [music] and their possible influence on the discoveries made on Oak Island.
In 1317, King Denis of Portugal rebranded the Knights Templar as the Order of Christ.
Historical accounts claim that many Templars escaped persecution while carrying their valuable treasures with them.
According to the team, a megalithic cross-shaped stone formation discovered on Oak Island in 1981 could represent the insignia of the Portuguese Knights of Christ.

Additional discoveries in the area include several intriguing pieces of wood that may support Scott Clark’s theory.
These findings include what appear to be ship deck [music] planks, ship-related tools, and a trapezoid-shaped wooden piece believed to have come from a cargo vessel dating back to around 1680.
The team also uncovered possible ship-related artifacts in the Oak Island Marsh, raising the possibility that a treasure galleon may be buried beneath the ground.
The crew further discussed corroded iron fragments found in the same area, which appear to be connected to the trapezoid-shaped artifact discovered earlier.

Wooden tunnels.
The team examined the possibility that wooden tunnels discovered on Oak Island, some potentially dating as far back as 1488, are linked to high concentrations of silver and gold detected in the region.
This discovery introduces a compelling new theory that could reshape the Oak Island mystery.
To explore potential connections further, the crew traveled to Tomar, Portugal to investigate an impressive estate believed to have ties to the Oak Island story.
Local experts and Templar historians explained that the Knights Templar, who controlled the region for centuries, were responsible for constructing much of what still stands there today.
The estate features an initiation well with nine levels, a structure that bears a striking resemblance to descriptions of the Oak Island Money Pit.
The well measures approximately 13 ft in diameter, which closely matches early reports of the Money Pit, possibly more than just a coincidence.

In addition, the team identified a symbol carved into a 90 ft stone on Oak Island that closely matches a symbol found in a mysterious inscription.
This marking is believed to resemble a mason’s mark and could help tell the story of the Knights Templar [music] and their possible connection to Oak Island.
The team stressed the importance of carefully studying these masons’ marks to better understand their meaning and significance.
The researchers also believe that Tomar, the former headquarters of the Knights Templar in Portugal, could be a crucial piece of evidence in uncovering Templar and Masonic links to Oak Island.

The garnet brooch.
While investigating Lot 8 on the western side of Oak Island, Marty Lagina and Gary Drayton made a potentially significant discovery.
After clearing large trees and dense vegetation, they focused on a small but promising area.
Their search led to the discovery of a beautifully crafted garnet brooch.
Experts determined that the brooch was made using an ancient wire-making technique, and gemologist Charles Lewton-Brain [music] estimated it to be more than 400 years old.
Encouraged by this find, the team hopes to return to Lot 8 to search for additional artifacts.
Further magnetometer surveys revealed new anomalies in the area, strengthening their decision to investigate again.

Horses were known to have been used on Oak Island in the past, [music] primarily for agricultural purposes such as plowing fields.
The team speculates that a bridle or related item could be connected to the garnet brooch discovered four years earlier, or possibly to a massive metallic anomaly they plan to excavate in the near future.
The team also discussed a large metallic tool discovered nearby, which could be connected to a buried object or underground structure.
They plan to apply for the necessary permits so they can begin moving earth and continue their investigation.

The crew gave a shout out to metal detecting expert Gary Drayton, who recently arrived on the island and identified an unusual anomaly on Lot 8.
This finding raises the possibility that yet another significant treasure discovery could be waiting beneath the surface.
Meanwhile, the area around what is believed to be Grail Castle is being carefully cleared and examined as researchers [music] continue working to uncover its secrets.

On Oak Island, two iron sledges believed to be more than 500 years old were also discovered.
These heavy tools were likely used for large-scale mining or tunneling operations, suggesting that major work may have taken place on the western side of the island even before the Money Pit was first discovered.
The team began excavating the area in search of clear signs of human activity, hoping to uncover something substantial, such as a hidden chamber [music] or buried treasure.
While they found mostly rocks in the disturbed zone, the unusual placement of a large boulder led them to believe it may have been deliberately positioned and could be linked to tunnels or other underground structures.

What an incredible journey through the mysteries of Oak Island.
From hidden treasure to [music] ancient artifacts, this year has delivered one astonishing discovery after another.
The team has uncovered secrets buried deep [music] below the surface, slowly unraveling a mystery that has captivated explorers for generations.
While the legendary curse of Oak Island may still linger, the crew’s determination and persistence have led to some truly remarkable finds.
It’s been an unforgettable adventure, and who knows what other secrets are still waiting to be uncovered in the future.
