In the montage, Cline sported a bandaged jaw, followed by bruising and a visibly swollen bottom half of her face. She also showed her misaligned teeth, herself wearing a neck brace and eating through a syringe.
“I know ball,” another message read as the music picked up, and photos of her looking happier while posing for photos and in videos played.
Cline added in the caption, “Life keeps hitting reset. I keep upgrading. #iknowball#rebuild#recoveryispossible#riseagain#nevergiveup.”
In the comments, Cline offered new details about what caused the accident—specifically, that the other driver was allegedly impaired.
“I was in an old car and hit by a drunk driver. Broke my jaw in 3 places and a lot of breaks in my chest,” she wrote in response to a TikTok follower asking why she needed surgery.
Another TikTok user commented, “I hope you got justice!” to which Cline replied, “Thank you! Court tomorrow to give my victim statement and even though I’m still limited with speech I have a lot to say.”
Someone else wrote, “So glad you’re alive and a living, breathing billboard against drunk driving! 🙌🏼.”
On Sept. 12, Wolfe was driving on a highway near Columbia, Tenn., when they were struck by another vehicle.
“A man driving an SUV pulled out from a side street, and we had little to no time to react,” Cline wrote on Instagram on Sept. 17, also sharing graphic photos of her injuries. “We were in an old Porsche 356, with Mike driving, and although we were both wearing seatbelts, they were only lap belts. My side took most of the impact as Mike tried to swerve to miss the other driver.”
Wolfe, 61, suffered a broken nose and “heavy bruising to his face,” and needed stitches. He was released from the hospital the next day.
“He is incredibly lucky, as he broke the steering wheel and could have been impaled by the steering column,” Cline, 47, pointed out.
Her injuries, however, were much more severe and included: a dislocated jaw that was broken in three places, a broken sternum, broken ribs, a collapsed lung and bruising to her spine.
Hopefully, Cline’s recovery continues to go smoothly.
