‘American Pickers’ stars reveal major news about the show’s future

"American Pickers" hosts Mike Wolfe, Robbie Wolfe, Danielle Colby and "Jersey Jon" Szalay

Fans of “American Pickers” are finally being given some new content.

On June 28, the show’s stars, Mike Wolfe and Danielle Colby, took to Instagram to reveal that their show’s highly anticipated new season is right around the corner.

“Excited to announce eight new episodes in a row starting this Wednesday, July 2, 8/9c on @history,” the post reads.

The season 27 announcement was made just a few days prior on the “American Pickers” Instagram.

Still, fans under Wolfe and Colby’s posts were more excited that this new season will have brand new episodes all airing consecutively on the History Channel.

One fan said, “Are they really, really new, not just ‘best ofs’? Fingers crossed!”

To which Wolfe replied and said, “NOPE All New!!!”

Another said, “Iconic American duo!”

One excited fan said, “I’ll be tuning in. I’m even going to follow you on Instagram. Cheers!”

This is announcement comes after Wolfe told People back in March he was taking a break from the show.

“We haven’t done that in 15 years, so that’s going to feel good,” Wolfe told the media outlet. “For 15 years, we have just been going and going and going. I think we’re going to have at least four or five months off, so it’s going to be good.”

In April, Wolfe and Colby shared that Antique Archaeology, located in Nashville, Tennessee, will close after more than a decade of business.

“After nearly 15 amazing years, we’ve made the tough decision to close the doors of our Antique Archaeology store here in Music City,” the post reads. “This place has meant the world to me — not just the brick and mortar, but the people. The community. The visitors from all over the world who came through those doors, shared their stories, and reminded me every day why I started this journey in the first place.”

“American Pickers” has been on the air for over a decade, beginning in 2010, and has clearly maintained a loyal fan base throughout its journey.
