Leticia Klein, known for her appearance on Beauty and the Geek and her career as a model and wrestling interviewer, recently ended her campaign for mayor of Cave City, Kentucky, following a close defeat in the May 2022 election. The 43-year-old made the announcement through an emotional Instagram story, thanking her supporters and reflecting on the journey.

“I just want to thank the individuals that believed in me and a vision of what this city could be,” she wrote over an image of a plane ticket to LaGuardia Airport. Despite the loss, she noted she only fell short by 50 votes, emphasizing the significance of her achievement considering her non-traditional political background.

“At the end of the day, if I encouraged someone to do something they never believed they could, then I’ve already won,” she added. Leticia vowed to keep fighting for change, concluding with a defiant promise that “someone like her” would eventually “pummel it to the ground,” referring to the barriers she hoped to break.

Throughout her campaign, Leticia was publicly supported by her boyfriend Mike Wolfe, 58, star of the History Channel’s American Pickers. The couple was seen canvassing door-to-door in Cave City alongside friends, promoting Klein’s platform for local change. Leticia posted a photo of the team wearing “Klein for Cave City Mayor” shirts, captioning it, “The canvassing team of today – we are going door to door as much as we can. Election Day is in just 15 days.”

Though not wearing official campaign gear, Wolfe held a campaign flyer in the picture and expressed how proud he was of Leticia’s desire to represent the people of Cave City. Mike’s personal life has undergone major changes in recent years — he divorced his ex-wife Jodi Faith in 2020 after 10 years of marriage, and he and Leticia began dating shortly afterward. He shares one daughter, Charlie, with his former spouse.

Meanwhile, American Pickers faces mounting uncertainty as the show continues to experience declining ratings and infrequent episode releases. The long-running reality series, once centered around Mike and co-star Frank Fritz as they scoured the country for rare antiques, has changed dramatically in recent years.

Fritz was let go in 2021 after a back injury, and tensions between him and Wolfe escalated into a personal feud.
